Light road shoe with BOA closure

With its low weight of only 215g, the Imperial sets new standards in terms of weight-reduced, high-performance footwear for racing cyclists at a professional training and performance level.

At the heart of the new Imperial is Giro's patented Synchwire™ shank construction, comprised of ultralight monofilament nylon reinforced with thermally welded Teijin® elastomers (TPU). This gives the shoe optimal structural support and thus causes a greatly increased resistance, especially in the neuralgic areas.

The Dual Boa IP1 closure system with soft-lace guide ensures a completely even lacing, eliminates pressure points and adapts to the foot comfortably.

The Easton® EC90 SLX2 carbon fiber sole provides the perfect balance between weight and stiffness and in combination with the adjustable Super Natural Fit footbed system for unrivaled pedaling efficiency and comfort when pedaling.

With the Imperial, Giro is launching a race-ready shoe that feels like a second skin from the moment you wear it.
