In this chapter, we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
SUPER FIT ™ ENGINEERING
The Super Fit ™ sizing system is the foundation of Giro's product design and development process. Giro's many years of experience in the field of helmet construction make it possible to draw on a plethora of measurement data from a wide variety of head and face shapes during development. After a wide variety of intensive tests in Giross laboratories, the product undergoes further hard practical tests and is put through its paces by the team riders. This is followed by an optimization until a maximum of fit and comfort is achieved. Of course, compromises in terms of quality and functionality are not made - this is what Giro understands by the Super Fit ™ system.
A special coating on the fingertips allows the touch screen operation, without the glove would have to be pulled out for it.
CLARINO ™ MICROFIBER
Clarino ™ synthetic leather mimics the structure of leather but is more weather resistant and more robust. Clarino ™ is easy to care for, breathable and has a soft grip. Even at low temperatures it stays soft and flexible. Suede-like synthetic leather. Non-slip and durable.
PORON® XRD® Extreme Impact Protection Work
The microcellular PORON® XRD® technology is an open cell and breathing material. XRD® protection is particularly noticeable in high speed impacts. The soft contouring material immediately absorbs up to 90% of the impact energy at the moment of impact.
XRD® material maintains its softness while at rest over the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the urethane molecule. When subjected to high levels of stress or shock, the Tg of the material reaches the point where the urethane immediately "freezes" - like water to ice. When this happens, the material forms a comfortable protection that better protects the body and hands than other protective foams currently available. At the most relevant figure - absorbing more impact energy at higher speeds - this material beats the competition.
THREE-PIECE PALM CONSTRUCTION
The unique 3-piece palm construction does not hinder the movement of the hand in any way and protects the palm from pressure points with the fullest control of the handlebars. The 3-part palm construction makes giro gloves so comfortable and comfortable that you forget right after you put them on, that you wear them.
FLEX ZONES ™
Flex Zones ™ is used on many Giro long-fingered gloves. Flexible zones on the knuckles reduce friction to a minimum and increase the mobility of the fingers.
SONIC WELDED ARMOR
Through a special ultrasonic welding process in conjunction with pressure, the MTB shoes material reinforcements are connected to each other with the microfiber material of the upper shoe. The connection is more durable than sewing or gluing. The upper material is protected against abrasions, etc., in the heavily used areas. The whole with only minimal weight gain.
