The Free Aero RC Bibshort is Casltelli's top-of-the-line racing pant, which also means it's incredibly comfortable, even if you never pin a race number on yourself.

They have been working on this short for 15 years now. That's how long it's been since the original Free Aero Race Bibshort was first presented, initially as your top of the line cycling shorts. Since then, she has not only won the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia three times, as well as a Vuelta and Milan-San Remo. They also became the best-selling product in Castelli history because they are simply the cycling shorts that do everything right.

Their concept is very simple: you start with the best chamois Castelli can make, pair it with a pair of shorts that offer strong compression to support your muscles, and then eliminate anything that isn't absolutely necessary. Thanks to the reduced number of panels and seams, the wearing comfort is literally "Free". In fact, the short consists of only 5 panels compared to 10 on the previous model.

You also feel "free" because the seamless Progetto X²-Air Seamless seat pad has been further refined. The dual density foam and gel pads provide progressive cushioning, while the discrete Skin Care layer is soft, resilient and moves with your skin.

"Free" also feels the most minimal bib construction you've ever seen in a bike short, with open-weave bibs for maximum airflow. Increased use ensures that they stay in place. The back part made of mesh material has an extra narrow cut and still guarantees a secure fit. In addition, the carrier construction has a practical, centrally placed back pocket.

Last but not least, "Free" means that these are the first high-end cycling shorts that do without any grippers or elastic cuffs on the leg ends and still offer a non-slip fit. Achieving this required 28 prototypes and Castelli's most extensive testing program to date. The result is the most comfortable leg cuffs you've ever made.

The Forza 2 material with 32% Lycra® content guarantees ideal muscle support with its strong compression effect. Reflective trimmings at the back are just as much a part of the high-quality finish as the long-lasting, either embroidered or embossed logos.
